Most DGA service providers are chemical labs which treat transformers as black boxes.
This is not surprising when you consider that laboratories providing these services are usually quite competent in chemical analysis techniques but not in transformer design.
Their acceptance criteria have been developed through statistical analysis of large populations of similar power transformers.
Our knowledge of transformer design and operation allows us to understand the relationship (not simple correlation) between gasses and possible faults.
Therefore, we can support you in getting your problem solved instead of only advising you to make a new DGA after a specific amount of time.
For example, we can start by suggesting other types of tests to validate the initial DGA diagnosis or review available design information.

Our added value
Thanks to our experience in transformer design, construction and failure analysis, we can support you by:
- Interpreting diagnostics tests results taking into account the peculiarities of your transformer.
- Identifying and carrying out actions to solve the problem revealed by the diagnostic tests.
